In short
This site has no advertising, no audience measurement and no third-party trackers, and never sells any data. Typefaces are hosted on the site itself: your browser contacts no external service when you browse the pages. The only data collected is described below.
The Tech watch page is prepared by the server, which reads the news sites' RSS feeds itself: those sites receive no information about you. Clicking an article takes you to its publisher's website without telling it which page you came from; that site's own privacy policy then applies.
1. Contact form
- Data
- Name, email address, subject, message, date sent.
- Purpose
- Replying to your request (internship, apprenticeship, collaboration, question).
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest: replying to people who contact me (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). All fields are needed to reply.
- Recipients
- Me only. The message is sent by OVHcloud's server (France) to my Gmail mailbox (Google).
- Outside the EU
- Yes: Google LLC (United States), certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023).
- Retention
- Emails kept for at most 1 year after our last exchange. If sending fails, a backup copy stays on the server (not reachable from the Internet) and is deleted automatically after 3 months.
2. Site security and operation
- Data
- A random session identifier (cookie), a signed cookie remembering for 30 days that the anti-bot check was passed (it only contains its expiry date) and, server-side: chosen language, the current captcha challenge and whether it was solved, the number of captcha failures and any temporary lockout, anti-forgery token, the time the contact form was displayed and the times of your submissions, the times of terminal attempts and the secret codes found. Form submission times across all visitors are also recorded on the server (with no other data), to limit mass sending over the past hour.
- Purpose
- Protecting the site against bots and abuse; running the captcha, the form and the terminal.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest: site security (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Recipients
- Me and OVHcloud (host, France).
- Retention
- Until the browser is closed; session data is erased by the server after a few dozen minutes of inactivity. Verification cookie: 30 days.
3. Profile page terminal
Input that is not a known command is sent to the server only to be compared with the secret codes. It is not stored: only the time of attempts (limit of 20 per minute) and the list of codes found are kept in your session (item 2).
The “fake hack” page shows details (system, browser, screen, time zone) read by your own browser: they are neither sent nor stored.
4. Host technical logs
- Data
- IP address, date and time, page requested, browser (user agent), response code.
- Purpose
- Security, diagnostics and the host's legal obligations.
- Legal basis
- Legal obligation to retain connection data (French LCEN art. 6, decree no. 2021-1362) and legitimate interest.
- Recipients
- OVHcloud (France); me, via the customer area.
- Retention
- Set by OVHcloud, at most 1 year.
5. Cookies and local storage
All are strictly necessary for the site to work (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act): they do not require consent, which is why no banner is shown.

6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to and restrict its processing, and to data portability where it applies. To exercise them, write to gabriel.liebaut.pro@gmail.com; you will receive a reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority): https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes — 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France.
7. Security
The site is only reachable over HTTPS (encrypted connection). The form is protected against request forgery and bots; backup copies and internal files cannot be reached from the Internet; the site's cookies cannot be read by scripts and only travel over the encrypted connection.
8. Changes
This policy may change along with the site; the update date is shown at the top of the page.
